Gluten Free & Vegan Chocolate Bark - A Healthy Sweet Treat!
Enjoy this gluten free, dairy free, and vegan recipe for Chocolate Bark! Made with cacao and coconut sugar, it's sure to be your "go-to" recipe for a sweet dessert. Takes 20-30 minutes to prep, then 2 hours in the fridge.
1 cup raw cacao butter
1/2 cup raw cacao powder
1/4 cup plus 2 tbsp raw coconut sugar
1/2 teaspoon Himalayan salt
1/2 teaspoon organic vanilla extract
toppings (to taste)
Bring a saucepan, half full of water, to a boil. Put another saucepan inside, so it touches the water creating a double boiler.
Turn heat down to simmer and put cacao butter into top pan. Stir with whisk keeping under 118ºF.
Once melted, remove from heat.
Add cacao powder, sugar, salt, and vanilla. Whisk well.
Pour onto baking sheet lined with wax paper.
Top with pumpkin seeds, sprouted & dehydrated buckwheat groats, hemp seeds, coconut flakes, dried fruit, goji berries, pecans, etc.
Put baking sheet in fridge for 2 hours.
Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
