"My eyes have been opened to a whole new level of being able to have a positive influence on people in such a unique way. I didn't know this way of thinking and being was possible. I feel that this will change my life and relationships in so many positive ways, not only career wise, but personally."

Yolanda Degler

"I didn’t expect how much this program would improve my communication with my family. It’s almost like it was a communication skills course, not a health coach training. There is something really powerful about encouraging others autonomy and guiding and supporting them through their journey of achieving their goals!"

What is the NBHWC?

The National Board of Health and Wellness Coaching is a leading accrediting body that is recognized by both the medical and holistic healthcare fields. It is the only accreditation in the wellness field recognized by the National Board of Medical Examiners - the same board that give doctors their licenses. Those who complete the 80 hour training and then pass the board exam can register for an NPI number, which adds them to a registry of official US healthcare professionals.

Paired with HHE's Holistic Health Coach Certification, Therapeutic Nutritional Counselor Certification, or Holistic Health Practitioner Certification, this training combination truly sets graduates apart.

How does the NBHWC fit in with holistic health?

HHE’s core curriculum emphasizes health sciences and holistic care—covering anatomy, physiology, nutrition, mindset, and solutions to 225+ conditions. The NBHWC program centers on psychology, coaching, ethics, and professionalism, with limited health content but strong applicability to professional coaching. After 13 years of avoiding most government accreditations, HHE adopted NBHWC due to how surprisingly well their content complemented our core program—together creating a powerful training combination and certification pathway for our students.
