5 Steps For A Healthier Heart!

healthy heart heart health

SUPER HEART HEALTH

My consultations for A-fib (Atrial fibrillation) and irregular heart rhythms are at an all time high.

With the rising prescription medication use, alcohol consumption, aspartame and food toxins being used in our food supply, (without regulation), and thyroid disorders, a heart doctor will never have a dull moment.

Unless you read this first!

My very favorite mineral, magnesium, is used by every organ in the body.

Our heart, muscles, kidneys and colon are dependent on us having enough magnesium in our diet!

Fatigue, body weakness, abnormal heart rhythms, constipation and even muscle and eye spasms most often result from not having enough of this vital mineral.

Magnesium is stored in your organs and bones, with only 1% being circulated in the blood.

This means many people have no idea they are deficient, because you can not accurately test it with blood work.  Just another reason blood work is not the only test you should be using!

When we opened our first center in 2008, the estimate was 75% of all Americans were deficient in magnesium. That number has now risen to 80%! In just eight short years!

Sad day for those hearts, muscles, kidneys and colons!

But don’t despair... the answers are here.

Magnesium is of utmost importance, as it activates over 300 enzyme reactions in the body, is crucial to nerve transmission, muscle contraction, blood coagulation, it helps digest proteins, carbohydrates and fats, is a precursor for serotonin, and serves as a building block for RNA and DNA synthesis.

Whew! Just to mention a few reasons you NEED Magnesium!

So that being said, we always recommend taking a great whole food magnesium.

STEP ONE:
We recommend Megafood magnesium, as we have used it for years.  I have often recommended taking 6 tablets a day to start, for perhaps four weeks and then reducing it to three tablets. Then lowering to whatever you feel is best.

Please do not be fooled by other magnesium supplements.

Magnesium needs to be taken in whole food form, not an isolated or synthetic form, and most forms sold in stores (including health food stores) are synthetic.

The Miracle of Magnesium

But don't forget, a lot of your favorite foods are magnesium rich - from red peppers to dark leafy greens, brown rice to apples, spinach to fish, figs and dried fruits...

There are a ton of great choices to help you naturally get some magnesium into your diet with delicious foods!

STEP TWO:
Another great product for the heart is Hawthorn Berry.

This remarkable berry is an official medicine in many other countries, and in Europe it is prescribed to thousands for heart health.

Herbs are my personal favorite builder of the body!

I often recommend Hawthorne Berry in tincture form, but it comes in tablet or capsule form, too.

Many do well taking 2 dropper-fuls a day, others may start with a lower dose.  It is potent!

Disclaimer: Again, I am not a doctor, just sharing what we have been exposed to with our own clients and staff. Please check with your doctor before making lifestyle changes.

There is a great article on Hawthorne Berry.  In reading it, you may start to see why I love herbs so much - they actually heal the body!

STEP THREE:
Yet, one more item that cannot be ignored for good heart health is CoQ10.

There is another form of the same molecule that has two extra electrons, so it can also act also as an antioxidant - and that is Ubiquinol.

It is a liquid, and would be a great supplement for heart health - and just overall great health.

The body is a working machine, its parts interact one with another beautifully.

Toxins wreak havoc on our cells and can lead to many nutrients such as magnesium to not be up-taken into the cells.

AND let us not forget our bodies work as a team, so everything is working together!

Oftentimes the cause of our dis-ease is actually another gland, and I for one know the thyroid plays a huge part in heart health.

STEP FOUR:
It would do most well to take care of that thyroid with some herbal thyroid support, a glandular and iodine!

Having the basic understanding of the body will help you to understand things like A-Fib, sugar levels, cancer, and other dis-eases of the body.
