Facts About Your Microbiome:
While our genes are 99.9% the same person to person, your microbiome can vary by up to 90% person to person. Even among identical twins, their microbiomes have been found to be 50% different. This explains a LOT about why people's metabolism, allergies, immune systems, and overall health can differ so much
You have more microbial cells on and in your body than human cells.
Healthy gut bacteria produce nutrients for you, and help to regulate your immune system, while unhealthy gut bacteria produce toxins and trigger your immune system in a negative way.
A "prebiotic" is what the bacteria and yeast eat; A "probiotic" is the actual bacteria, yeast, or microbe; And a "postbiotic" is what they MAKE for you. We need the postbiotics made by the probiotics to achieve health, fight disease, and have energy!
Healthy gut bacteria thrive when a variety of fiber is present in the gut. Among the remaining tribal societies known on Earth today, many eat upwards of 100 grams of fiber a day. Meanwhile, the average American is consuming ~15 grams per day. This is resulting in a lot of problems for us.
The human microbiome plays an enormous role in the human immune system. In fact, some microbes are being explored as solutions to major diseases known today. In other words, instead of taking a medication or supplement, you would take a specific probiotic and fiber blend in order to reintroduce that microbe. Some may benefit from receiving a fecal transplant from a person with a healthy microbiome in order to clear up their current condition.
You CAN CHANGE your microbiome - and it CAN be life-changing!
Infants, children, adolescents, adults, and the elderly all need DIFFERENT microbiomes. We will cover these differences during the live call!
