Karen "ZuZu" Armes and her daughter Amy are the co-founders of Holistic Health Educators — and between them, they bring a rare combination of lived experience and academic depth to everything they teach. Karen's journey began with her own transformation from managing epilepsy through conventional medication to embracing a fully holistic approach to health. That experience became the foundation for HHE, as well as her work as an author, holistic healthcare practitioner, and founder of Lilly Fields retreat center in Georgia. Amy grew up immersed in that world, going on to study public health and epidemiology at Brigham Young University and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and now teaches everything from anatomy to holistic psychology with a whole-person, root-cause lens.
